This wiki is dedicated to information regarding the 2nd Indochina War, which began in 1954 immediately after the signing of the Geneva Accords and ended on April 30, 1975, when the North Vietnam invasion of South Vietnam ended with the capture of the city of Saigon and the dissolution of the South Vietnamese government. It is more commonly called the American War in Vietnam and the Vietnam War in America. Whenever the war is referred to, it will be referred to as the 2nd Indochina War.
In case you're wondering what the 1st Indochina War was, that was the war between the Viet Minh guerillas and the French Army that took place between December 1946 and August 1954. In Vietnam, that war is known as the Anti-French Resistance War. In France, it is known as the Indochina War.
